After analyzing millions of reviews for around 600 beaches around the globe, enthusiasts have pointed out the best places to get to for some nice beach time. The search was done using reviews that included the phrase “calm waters” using English-language reviews and checked if the phrase was used properly.
After doing their research, the scientists found out that Baby Beach in Maui, Hawaii, was the one with the calmest water anywhere in the world. Over a quarter of the reviews mentioned the phrase, pointing out how the coral areas were perfect for snorkeling and also great for children to swim.

Ten Bay Beach in Eleuthera, the Bahamas, is a close second, with close to a quarter of the reviews talking about the clear, calm waters. Its beautiful beaches and calm waters are often praised in the reviews as being great for families with kids. Many people visit the beach again and again and spend their time there, enjoying the shade from nearby trees.
There are many places in the U.S. with some of the calmest waters, and many of them are in Hawaii, which has eight out of the ten beaches with the calmest waters in the nation. The other two include Lewes, Delaware, and Cape Charles, Virginia. For international waters, the best places to check out include beaches in Greece, where there are six out of the ten calmest waters in Europe. Marathi Beach in Crete is the number one spot in Europe.
