- 4 cups chopped cantaloupe (peeled and seeded)

Sugared Melon Cardamom and Mint Recipe: Directions
Make sure you have all the ingredients and everything is properly chopped and readily available. Once ready, toss the honeydew melon, cantaloupe, cardamom, sugar, and salt into a large bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator until the melon starts to release its juices. This could take anywhere between one to three hours.
Take out the bowl and sprinkle the melon with the fresh mint leaves. Your bowl of freshness will be ready for you to enjoy! However, if you want to take things up a notch, you can add a dollop of good-quality vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream.
Experiment With Different Ingredients
Since this sugared melon recipe is so simple and doesn’t require many ingredients, you can always try and experiment by adding things you love or already have in the fridge. For example, you can add the sugared melon to your cereal or oats bowl to add that level of freshness while keeping the meal nutritious and delicious. You can also enrich the recipe by adding other seasonal fruits like apricots, peaches, and ripe watermelon! Another good idea is to substitute the sugar with honey or maple syrup. There are virtually no rules here!
