- Twelve ounces of uncooked linguini
- A quarter of a cup of unsalted butter
- A tablespoon and a teaspoon of minced garlic
- Two tablespoons of olive oil
- A teaspoon of crushed red pepper
- One and a half teaspoons of salt – divided
- Half a teaspoon of black pepper
- A pound of shrimp – large, peeled, deveined, with tails on
- A tablespoon of minced fresh basil
- A teaspoon of lemon zest
- Two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
Fire Up the Air Fryer
Fill a large pot with water, salt it generously, and cook linguini according to package directions. Once cooked, drain and transfer to a big bowl. In the meantime, place a cake pan in the fry basket of a large air fryer. Preheat it to 400 Fahrenheit and place butter, wine, garlic, crushed red pepper, and oil in the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the butter melts and the wine starts to reduce.
Preparing the Shrimp
In a medium bowl, combine the black pepper and a teaspoon of salt. Toss in the shrimp to combine, then add the shrimp to the butter mixture in the cake pan, stirring to coat. Cook in the air fryer for about five minutes until the shrimp are cooked through. Add the lemon juice and zest, basil, and the remaining salt. Transfer to the pasta bowl and toss until evenly coated. Serve on a large platter garnished with some extra basil.
