Prince Harry Says He’s ‘Considered’ Becoming a US Citizen

In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the Meghan’s home in California. Is it time for Harry to finally become a US citizen? In a recent interview, the Duke of Sussex shared that he’s actually considering going for it as he seems to absolutely love his life in America.

Prince Harry Considers Citizenship

The Duke of Sussex recently talked with Good Morning America‘s Will Reeve. When asked how his life in the US was, Prince Harry shared he was feeling amazing and loving every day.

Although he still doesn’t quite feel like an American, he said that becoming an official citizen has crossed his mind quite a few times over his time in the country. However, it’s not his main priority, and he doesn’t feel like rushing things.

Meghan’s Complicated Process

After Meghan and Harry announced their engagement in 2017, the actress was planning to become a citizen of the United Kingdom. Getting citizenship was much harder than she had imagined, as she couldn’t complete the process.

She explained she had studied a lot and had to learn things even her husband didn’t know. According to the UK government’s website, one of the main steps is passing the “Life in the UK” test where you have 45 minutes to answer 24 questions about British traditions.

Prince Harry’s Love for His Family

Prince Harry might be living in the US, but he still flies back to the UK often to visit. He recently had to go back again after hearing about his father’s cancer diagnosis.

On Good Morning America, he shared that King Charles had personally told him the news. The Duke of Sussex shared how grateful he was for getting to spend time with his family. However, he decided to keep any updates on his father’s health to himself.
