John Mayer Shares His Thoughts

The musician started by saying that there was a lot to take in from the documentary on a sociological level. He added that he almost cried five times while watching. John Mayer believes that the reason for him being so emotional is the fact that he saw the true sadness in Britney because he also understands what the industry, business, and lifestyle can do to a person.

According to Mayer, going through this kind of experience and coming out of it OK means that you’ll likely have infinite grace for all those that struggle with it. He started comparing his experience and making it to the top through his cutthroat music to Britney Spears and her career. He mentioned that he thinks he came out OK simply because he’s a man.

John Mayer has a strong feeling that a lot of the things that happen to most female performers are simply because they’re female. He continued to watch the documentary with grace for someone that got maligned by the experience of fame, more than he did. He asked himself why he was able to get through it and find his way through the obstacles.

Other Stars Voiced Their Opinions on the Documentary

A lot of Hollywood stars are talking about Britney Spears and the latest documentary about her life, Framing Britney Spears. The hour-long documentary talked about her rise to fame, her controversial conservatorship that she’s been under since 2008 ( just after her public meltdown), as well as her public divorce from her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

After the documentary aired, it wasn’t just John Mayer who spoke up. Stars like Paris Hilton and Miley Cyrus publicly supported Britney. Sam Asghari, Britney’s boyfriend, defended her through a public Instagram Stories post where he bashed Britney’s father.
