Christina Clericuzio, a 24-year-old furniture flipper, teaches homeowners how to bring new life to their homes by refurbishing an old IKEA sideboard in a viral TikTok video, which since April has accumulated more than 2.3 million views.

Clericuzio explains she found the white and brown sideboard abandoned outside and took it to transform it into a light pink and gold fully equipped cabinet that also features a hanging wine glass rack.

How to Flip an Old and Boring IKEA Sideboard

In the tutorial, Clericuzio sands the sideboard and applies wood fillers to all areas that have visible chips. Then, she paints the cabinet a pink shade and uses masking tape to create a decorative geometric design, which she sprays in gold, to create a look similar to a $1,400 sideboard on Wayfair.

She removes the furniture’s white hardware and replaces it with gold pieces that match the gold lines. She also substitutes the sideboard’s feet with triangle feet, adds brass drawer pulls and hangs a metal wine glass rack.
