It was back in 2015 that Alessandro Michele took over as creative director of Gucci with the bold promise to expand the brand into more aspects of our lives. Years later, he is certainly living up to that promise. You can now dine at the brand’s Michelin-starred restaurant, visit the themed museum, and enjoy a movie starring none other than Lady Gaga herself. The most recent addition to the fashion empire is an impressive, signature, and eccentric home decor collection that will make you smile, daydream, and long for all at once.
An Exciting New Aesthetic by Gucci
From the tiger-and-tartan cushions to the lion silverware and “Star Eye” homeware, you will be mesmerized by the bold, colorful, and so incredibly Gucci style that the brand is offering with this collection. As the world is joyfully re-embracing social living and the classic dinner parties are once again back on, the brand is releasing an eccentric ode to entertainment for guests and hosts alike. Each item is carefully designed to bring the brand’s signature aesthetic into your home.
“Star Eye,” Tigers, and Chic
If there’s one predominant theme in Gucci’s new home decor collection, it is the brand’s love for animal prints evident in the tiger and lion-patterned plateware, cushions, and items. There is also the surrealist “Star Eye” which is certainly one of the house’s signature motifs. The entire plateware collection was crafted by Ginori 1735, a Florentine ceramicist that has been working for Gucci since 2013.
The new collection features new sets of spoons and forks adorned with lion heads. Making the intricate design of the utensils takes a total of 20 manufacturing stages. Talk about commitment to excellence. You will also find other serving items, like teapots and soup tureens, decorated with Gucci’s famous Herbarium print. Bees and octopuses also make an appearance in the new collection, and there’s no denying that the house really created a masterpiece with this collection.
